National Heroes Day in the Philippines
National Heroes Day is a regular holiday held on the last Monday of August in tribute to all Filipino heroes, recalling the 1896 Cry of Pugad Lawin that began the revolution against Spain.
Because it always lands on a Monday, National Heroes Day guarantees a three-day weekend.
