All Saints' Day on November 1 is a special non-working day. Together with All Souls' Day it forms Undas, when families clean and visit the graves of relatives across the country.

Undas is one of the busiest travel periods of the year — book provincial buses and flights weeks ahead.

Holiday pay on All Saints' Day

Special non-working day: the 'no work, no pay' rule applies unless company policy or a collective bargaining agreement says otherwise. Employees who work receive 130% for the first eight hours, or 150% if it is also their rest day.
